Nigeria is not yet at its Coronavirus peak yet; we still have a number of weeks to go - NCDC DG, Chikwe Ihekweazu

Chikwe Ihekweazu, Director-General of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), has stated that 

Nigeria still has a few weeks to go before hitting its high on Coronavirus. 

However, Chikwe said the agency he heads is putting in place various steps to ensure that the nation's health system is not overwhelmed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) 

pandemic. He said on Channels Television's 'Sunrise Daily;' "We are not yet close to the height from our projection; we still have a few weeks to go."

"So we are trying to stretch these weeks even further so that we can move the peak a little higher so make sure that the peak is not as steep as it might otherwise have been if 

no steps were put in place." The NCDC DG, which denounced the limiting factors making it possible for coronavirus to be transmitted in the world, said that they are completely beyond the control of the health sector. 

Chikwe added; "Of course, we're over-stretched ... but we're not going to quit because we really don't have an agreed NCDC boss option."We're not going to be able to 

quit dramatically in a day or two or even a couple of weeks at the moment and from what we know, but what we're really trying to do is
